Search Engine Marketing - What is it?

Written by
Pay-Per-Click - Instant traffic to your Website

Search Engine Marketing, or SEM, is a form of Internet marketing that seeks to promote websites by increasing their visibility in search engine result pages through the use of search engine optimization, paid placement, contextual advertising, and paid inclusion.

Our search engine marketing primary objective is to have your website and specific pages rank as high as ethically possible in the major search engines.  We use market leading tools and memberships with leading organisations to keep our knowledge up to date.  This allows us to provide the best possible service and help you achieve your marketing goals.

Search Engine Marketing encompasses two elements.

    • Search engine optimsation
    • Search Engine Paid Placement (Also know as Search Engine Marketing, confusing I know.)

Search Engine Optimisation (Organic / Natural)

Natural or Organic Search Engine positioning is a process of refining your web page content and keywords over time to improve your rankings.  This is not an instant fix and will take time (2 - 3 months minimum) to start to see results as it is a natural progression rather than a paid placement within a search engine result page.

When you discuss your requirements with Joint Plan, we will tailor our Service to meet your needs.

What does Search Engine Optimsation involve?

Each Optimisation activity can be quite detailed in nature and we've provided a more in depth SEO explanation to help you understand what goes into improving website rankings in search engines based on the following points.

      Ethical Search Engine Marketing
    • Business Goals & SEO Questionnaire
    • Competitive Intelligence, Ranking Evaluation, Competitor's Search Presence
    • Before, During, & After Client Web Site Ranking Reports
    • Ongoing Rank Monitoring

    Search Engine Paid Placement (Managed)

Paid Placement (PPC) takes you from keyword selection, account set up and management, to tracking results, adjusting ads to improve click-thru and measuring Retrun on Investment (ROI). This can give relative instant results to increase traffic but it's critical your website landing page (where the Ads takes the visitor to when they click on your Ad) is written to get that visitor to a lead or sale (conversation).

When you discuss your requirements with Joint Plan, we will tailor our Service to meet your needs.
